Mayhem Theatre Company AGM 2025 and forming the Members Committee for 2025-2026
Mayhem is a members-led company, run by a group of dedicated Mayhemmers who form the Members Committee, and support the day to day running of the company. Each year, at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Committee for the following 12 months is elected by current members.
The 2025 AGM will take place on Monday 24th November at 7pm.

How the Committee is formed:
The Committee must comprise of, at minimum, three people in the following roles: Company Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Business Manager. These positions are supported by other members in a variety of roles. The duties of these roles include many things to help run an amateur theatre company, whether that be organising fundraising and social events, being a liaison with creative teams, getting involved with marketing and social media, being the go-to person for members, getting stuck in with tech or production details and lots more!

This will give an idea of the scope of the current responsibilities, however these will be subject to updating/shifting as the incoming Committee is elected.
You don’t need to have prior experience to run for a role. There are of course some roles where any skills such as loving creating a good spreadsheet, masterminding projects, event planning to your heart's content or getting creative on social media will lend themselves naturally - but being committed, willing to get involved, bringing ideas and enthusiasm is truly the heart of what makes a Committee tick, and to have a successful year!
