Mayhem are delighted to return to the beautiful Italian Gardens of Cannizaro Park this July, with Shakespeare's timeless comedy,
Much Ado About Nothing.
Celebrated for its clever dialogue, humorous characters, and the interplay of romantic and comedic elements, Much Ado About Nothing follows the entanglements of two couples: the sharp-witted Beatrice and Benedick, and the more naively romantic Hero and Claudio. The plot is set in motion by the villainous Don John, who seeks to cause havoc through deceit and false accusations.
2024 marks MTC’s 13th year of bringing outdoor Shakespeare to South London. This year, set in the round, and featuring a fabulous soundtrack of chart-topping hits and dazzling choreography, MTC are excited to add a slightly modern twist to this much-loved classic, providing a great jumping-off point for those new to Shakespeare, as well as a wonderful evening of entertainment for existing fans.

Venue Details
Cannizaro Park is located near to Wimbledon Village and Common, in the grounds of Cannizaro House. The performance will take place in the Italian Gardens of the park. The show will feature full stage lighting and amplified sound so that the audience can see and hear everything as the sun sets.
SEATING
Seating will be separated into rug and chair areas. All seating is ticketed individually. Please note that chairs or rugs will not be provided, audiences will need to bring their own rugs or chairs to the venue. Children under the age of 5 are welcome to share a rug area with a paying adult, and do not require their own ticket.
ACCESSIBILITY
Wheelchair and accessible access can be arranged - please contact us in advance.
FOOD & DRINK
Picnics are more than welcome. An on-site bottle bar serving a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks will also be available at every performance. Pre-orders are available with ticket purchase!
TOILETS
Individual portable toilet facilities will be provided.
DOGS
Although allowed in Cannizaro Park, dogs will not be allowed within the Italian Gardens on performance days.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We will only cancel a performance if absolutely necessary due to adverse weather conditions.
