Summer Season:
2024 will mark Mayhem Theatre Company’s thirteenth year of spectacular outdoor theatre in Wimbledon, as we resume our annual residency at the beautiful Cannizaro Park.
We have two very different opportunities on offer: a musical cabaret with live orchestra: Songs Under the Summer Sun: Let's Go to the Movies and a large-scale Shakespeare production: Much Ado About Nothing.
Autumn Musical:
Mayhem are returning to Kingston-upon-Thames in October for our annual large-scale musical production, this year... Rock of Ages!

Anything Goes (Oct 2023)Cole Porter's iconic joyful musical provided a spectacular end to our 2023 season, and included MTC's first ever 'Relaxed Performance', in our continued efforts to make local theatre accessible to all.

Macbeth (July 2023)Shakespeare's timeless tragedy, performed in the round as the sun sets, truly came to life, with the atmospheric Italian Garden filled with witches, ghosts, bloody battles and murder providing an unforgettable experience!

Songs Under the Summer Sun (2023)June saw a sell out season of SUTSS, with audiences treated to glorious sunshine and a riveting set list featuring iconic hits of the stage and screen, all performed in Cannizaro Park's Italian Garden with a live band.

9 to 5: The Musical (Oct 2022)With a score by the Queen of Country, 9 to 5: the Musical tells the story of three colleagues pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss. Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on their despicable manager Franklin Hart, will the ladies manage to reform their office - or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?

The Merry Wives of Windsor (Jul '22)A timeless comedy of romantic misdemeanours The Merry Wives of Windsor sees the down on his cash and luck, Sir John Falstaff, attempt to hustle his way to an early retirement by seducing the wives of two wealthy men.

Songs Under the Summer Sun (2022)Mayhem returned to Cannizaro with a new cast of 11 incredible singers and live orchestra, for a musical production packed full of tunes from the West End and Silver Screen, including Jersey Boys, Chicago, Les Misérables, Sister Act, Wicked, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and many more!

Legally Blonde (Oct 2021)Fabulously fun and international award-winning Legally Blonde: The Musical is the ultimate Broadway tribute to Girl Power! The story follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, sexism, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams, and proves that you can be legally blonde and STILL the smartest person in the room.

The Tempest (July 2021)On an isolated island, a magician plots revenge for their sibling's betrayal. A classic Shakespearean comedy about magic, betrayal, love and forgiveness, The Tempest marked the 10th year of Mayhem’s popular summer tradition of bringing the Bard to South London.

Songs Under the Summer Sun (2021)Mayhem returned to Cannizaro Park for our 10 year anniversary with a fabulous new outdoor cabaret concert featuring a fully amplified cast of 10 incredible singers and a live 9 piece band! Packed with classic tunes from the West End and the Silver Screen, Mayhem were thrilled to bring this unique new picnic experience to Wimbledon during the pandemic.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Aug 2020)Our 9th year of outdoor Summer Shakespeare and this time we brought all 37 plays to Cannizaro Park. All sixteen comedies condensed into ‘Four Weddings and a Transvestite’, the history plays transformed into a game and Hamlet staged in a matter of minutes... and for the finale, performed backwards!

Night of the Singing Dead (Oct 2019)Spend an evening with the undead and dead famous, for a night of creepy cabaret and bloody ballads. With song selections from shows including Beetlejuice, Jekyll & Hyde, Rocky Horror, Evil Dead, Thriller Live, Bonnie & Clyde, Heathers, Mean Girls and Sweeney Todd, there’s no doubt it’s going to be an absolute scream.

A Midsummer Night's Dream (Jul 2019)A quartet of mismatched lovers, a company of hapless actors and malicious sprites cross paths with the King and Queen of the fairies... An ever-popular comedy, set in a supernatural forest overflowing with possibilities where the unexplainable magic of falling in love – and the marvel of waking up from the sweetest of dreams – are discovered.
